Strengthen your Brethren

Luke 22:31-32

And the Lord said,“Simon, Simon! Indeed,Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me,strengthen your brethren.”

Jesus knew Peter would deny Him not once but three times, yet Jesus still prayed for him. Jesus allowed Satan to trouble all the disciples but He restored Peter even before his fail. Jesus knows that we all are going to fail; we are NONE perfect, but yet of flesh. The scripture tells us that we will fail, but Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. In this scripture He tells Peter when he returns to Him, that he must strengthen his brothers.

We all fail and after doing so, we sometimes feel we cannot return to Jesus because we think He will be upset or ashamed of us. But that is not who Jesus is. He is all knowing, loving, forgiving and gives mercy and grace for all things; when we seek Him. Even in the worst of things, Jesus can get us through. Jesus wants to help us so that we can use our trials and tribulations to help others.

Prayer- Lord God thank you!!! Thank you for being a loving and merciful God. I pray that you help me see that only through You can I face every trial and tribulation. I pray that I will use those things to help someone else to seek your grace and forgiveness. AMEN!!!!!! Praise Jesus!
