Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
What a wonderful vision of salvation and our God who reigns forever. To those that have lost hope that they might ever be free again, the one who brings glad tidings is beautiful even down to their feet. The beautiful messenger proclaims peace and brings good news; which is that of salvation. The feet can be descriptive of those that are actively preaching the gospel; working with God for the salvation of men.
"Your God Reigns!" Yes, where God reigns, also peace, good news and salvation reign.
People need hope and they try to find that in other things of the world. We should always remember that God is our only real source of Hope and always strive to represent our God in a way that others will find peace and salvation also.
Prayer- Dear God, thank you for your beautiful peace and glad tidings. Thank you for your salvation and being my constant hope. God, help me to proclaim your peace and good news to those that need hope so they may know you as well.
