Psalm 33:12

Blessed is the nation whose

God is the Lord, The people He has chosen

as His own inheritance.

“The nation who God is the Lord”; in a national sense this would be Israel, the people and nation chosen for a unique place in the plan of God. However, this speaks of the blessing that belongs to ALL those chosen by the Lord. Any nation that aligns itself with the Lord God can expect His blessing because He is a real God; the true God. On the contrary any nation that ignores God or worships false idols should have great concern. While others worshipped before their idols, the chosen people were elevated by a spiritual religion which introduced them to God, and led them to trust in Him. Today we are that nation and we are His inheritance; all of us that have been chosen. All who confide in the Lord are blessed in the largest and deepest sense. Because we are so blessed, we should rejoice in our portion, and show the world by our lives that we serve a glorious Master. This nation, as well as others, need to see God in us!

Many times, we are chosen but believe we are not capable of doing what God has spoken into our lives. Jeremiah was a great example of a young man who knew that the call of God in his life had been determined by God from before his conception. He knew that God called him to proclaim a critical message at a crucial point in the history of the nation. Jeremiahs’ role was to be a prophet to the nation of Judah as well as a messenger of God for all nations. Jeremiah doubted his ability to address kings and leaders due to his youth, however he would not go and speak alone or of his own accord, but according to the word of the Lord.

Jeremiah 1:9-10

9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.

The nations were instruments in God’s purpose of revealing Himself. With God’s words in his mouth, Jeremiah had the authority to stand before any ruler. To use judgment and restoration were the two messages of the prophet of God. During these uncertain times we are currently living in, I believe we need a Jeremiah speaking to our nation and other nations, as well as judgement and restoration.

In God We Trust!!!!

Are you a chosen prophet for today’s nation(s)? Before you were born, did God call upon you to give a message to others? Those who have messages to deliver from God, must not fear the face of man. God's message should be delivered and we must heed to that calling upon our lives. No matter what others of the world think, God’s word must be spoken to the nations. At one point Jeremiah refrained from speaking God’s word because the prophecy had not been fulfilled, but the divine message could not be held within and as the scripture describes; His word was like a burning fire. Jeremiah became overwhelmed by God’s word and will for His people. God’s word will burn in your heart and you will not be able to hold back His words.

Jeremiah 20:9

9 Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.

Due to mockery and fear, Jeremiah did become devastated but he turned to God in prayer and praise in his hour of deepest need. God was Jeremiah’s powerful warrior. God can also be your warrior in the hour you need Him most. Praise His Holy Name and pray for His guidance.

Jeremiah 20:11

11 But the Lord is with me as a mighty, awesome One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.

We must not question what God has asked us to do at any time. We must speak and/or move and not stop to question why. If God has called upon you to speak to someone (or nations) thru HIS WORD, don’t hesitate but have faith in His promises. God will never send you unequipped for a calling He has placed upon your life.

God Bless this Nation and all of us!
