Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
God renewed what was in a chaotic state; time that predated Genesis 1:1. Just like today God sees the chaos and He wants to change chaos to well-ordered wholeness, disorder to order, emptiness to fullness. God created the heavens and the earth when there was no form; no order. God was not pleased with the chaos in the spiritual realm and created something new. He gave LIFE to earth, animals, humans; in His own image. Like today, God knows and sees the chaos; as should we, as the believer, see our world in such a form. But God gave us the choice every day to do better, which means it does not have to start on the 1st day of the new year. But today is the day that most people have resolutions on what they want their new year to look like. You may already have your goals wrote down or a vision board. You may have a plan set or maybe you don’t but I encourage you to seek God’s word in this new year. Let the 1st scripture of the Bible be your guide on this first day of 2022. Let’s be apart of the change; changing chaos, changing disorder, letting go of emptiness, creating a fullness of God. We as believers need to recreate what God did on the 1st day. We have that choice every day; not just today!
I encourage you to create better habits in pursuit to grow closer to God and reach others for His Kingdom. Wake up and pray with thanksgiving. Start your day joyful in the Lord and create new habits and know that we can be apart of the change that God has always wanted for us.
God created a material world and we have so many platforms and options that we can use today to reach others and let them know about God. So many times, we think we have to wait for the perfect time and have the perfect plan. God already created all of this for you and He says that He will be WITH you.
Start forgiving today, start loving today, start letting go today, start staying today… whatever it is, God’s got you and all you have to do is start. We have lived in fear too long and God does not give us that spirit. He does not want us to fear but to be grounded in his word. Focus and take action.
